EARLY EDUCATION FOR CHILDREN

Psychologist in United States conducted a study on children’s psychological development stages by performing tracking observations on nearly 1000 children. They analyzed the examples and concluded than children’s best intellectual development stage is when they are under eight years old.


According to the psychologist, if a person’s intellectual level reaches 100% when he/she is 17 years old, he/she would have achieved 50% at the age four, another 30% between four to eight years old. As a result, from the age of eight to 17, he/she only achieved 20% of the intellectual level.


The study reassures that the most important development stage in human life is from the moment a child is born till the age of eight. During the stage, a child is full of curiosity, good imitating, and is easily influenced by the outside world. It is a good time to develop a child’s good behavior and intelligence.


According to child psychology expert, the best phase for developing a child’s visual and verbal abilities is under four years old. At the age of five is the best is the best time for developing mathematic concepts. Five to six years old is best for improving verbal skills, while at the age of seven is the best time to foster a child’s moral behavior. If we can provide timely and appropriate education to our children during these important development phases, we could lay a strong foundation for their future achievements in life.


As a result, by providing suitable learning environments for our children, according to the characteristics of each development phase, we can help our children foster their intellectual development and explore the full potential of their brain functions.
